SENSEX Index Companies
To know about index funds one must first have some understanding of the stock market. There are two major stock exchanges in the Indian stock market, one is BSE and the other is NSE, BSE stands for Bombay Stock Exchange and NSE stands for National Stock Exchange.
The two stock exchanges have different indexes, the main index being the Sensex and the Nifty 50, the top 30 companies in terms of market capitalization among companies listed on the BSE are called the Sensex Index. The top 50 companies in the Nifty based on market capitalization known as the Nifty 50 Index.
